Great Citizen provides various technologies, mobile and web application to citizens to be able to control and to improve their world, their countries, their cities and their environment. We believe that the politician who can keep the roads maintained and clear of construction bottlenecks and traffic, the ones that can keep the schools, public parks, public buildings and facilities, the public transit system and the borders clean and operating smoothly, is the one who deserves our vote, and the job of every citizen is to participate in keeping the government honest.

Through our apps citizens are able to complain about potholes, and exposed wires or other dangers and unsightly conditions at their schools, parks, federal facilities and numerous other public and private spaces. The complaining citizens become "the owners" of that complaint and have the full right to see the details of their government at work, from seeing which contractors are assigned, how much they are paid, what their response rate is and how quickly they get the job done, and how they rate and compare to other teams throughout the city, and the country in terms of speed and cost of repairing and maintaining similar nuisances across the country. The system also allows the citizens to communicate directly with the politicians, the contractors and the inspectors, thus shortening the process of public control and direct involvement at all levels of their government.

There are also numerous other uses for our technology and platforms that will allow better participation in the electoral processes, giving our citizenry and the taxpayers greater control over their elected politicians, over the subcontractors, that are hired by the government and over the inspectors and other appointed government agents, who have a direct impact on our environment.

A Great Citizen App™ Case Study

Imagine a concerned mother looking at an empty piece of property owned by the city, which is an eyesore covered with garbage. Imagine he concern, knowing that the children in her town don't have anywhere to spend their time and thus could resort to joining gangs or doing drugs. Imagine her disappointment when the Mayors office tells her that they currently can not take on a project of providing kids with such a place, or that they don't have enough money in the budget or that they don't have the space for it in the town. Imagine a mother who decides to take action into her own hands, and uses the Great Citizen App™ to take a picture of the lot, and begins a campaign to build a kids sports and recreational center there, donates some of her own money to that campaign, and begins sending this campaign out to her friends and co-workers via email, and on her social networks, while managing this campaign entirely through the Great Citizen App™.

Imagine that others have joined in and have contributed some of their own money and their votes to making this happen.

Now imagine that this campaign, when it gets enough traction is presented to numerous celebrities through our platform, who have agreed to participate in public works and projects of social conscientiousness, or in supporting charitable activities and one or a few of the celebrities have joined the cause and records videos of themselves supporting the cause and pleading with the Mayors office to spearhead this project.

The Mayors office responds, and the Mayor also uses the app, that they will contribute funds to the project but that all of these joint funds are not enough to build this center.

And then a local third party contractor submits a bid, through our platform and agrees to do the project for less, and to take a loss as they believe in helping the community, which then results in all of the participants gaining significant good will, and additional business, while the kids get their sports and recreational center. All of this is not possible with the Great Citizen App™ and its partners underlying technologies.

Our technologies also allow our citizens to put their own funds together to contribute to great public works, and to become the sponsors for great change and improvements in their daily life, both exercising greater control over the way their tax dollars are spent and creating alternative systems of taxation and representation, both on the local level and on all other levels of government.
